The patch and pin in the below photograph was worn by the U.S. Constabulary in Austria 1946-1952. Bundespolizei U.S. M1 Carbines The M1 carbines used by the Austrian federal police were not marked in any manner. They are not identifiable from any other U.S. M1 Carbine. The Bundespolizei maintained their own central nationwide weapons armory in the Rossauer barracks in Vienna.
