Background
The markings on this carbine indicate it was used in the American Occupation Zone district of Württemberg-Baden which
existed 1945-1952. It was assigned to the City of Esslingen Stadtpolizei. The Stadtpolizei were comprised a patrol division,
traffic enforcement, and other day to day police duties.
