Carbine purchased in Canada and owned by a Canadian. No U.S. import marks. Most likely part of the shipment imported into Canada by Century Arms in the mid 1970's.
Carbine has the markings that identify it as having been used by the Landespolizei (rural police) in the American Occupation Zone of Württemberg-Baden. There are no numbers stamped on any of the parts to identify them to the carbine, as was done by Bavaria and some of the agencies in Württemberg-Baden. The inventory number stamped on the bottom of the trigger guard is also stamped on the left side of the receiver ring. The receiver bevel has a four digit number that's meaning is not known.
Fields indicated as unknown are based on the information that could be seen or not seen from the photographs submitted.
