Bavaria Police

Background

This carbine was purchased from a private party in Canada, who had bought this carbine and 2 others at a police confiscated arms sale in Montreal in the 1980's. The 2 others were marked Bavaria Rural Police. This carbine has no import mark, as Canada does not require them. It is registered in Canada. This carbine retained the U.S. issue rear sight but has had the agency marking, in the location on the receiver consistant with those used by Bavaria, removed and covered with a black substance.
