U.S. M1 Carbine
|
|
BackgroundThis carbine is located in New Zealand. The carbines with German agency markings are not uncommon in New Zealand. Like a number of the carbines from Germany, this one has had the German agency name on the top of the receiver to the left of the bolt, ground off and removed. Initials of an agency that used this carbine are stamped in the top of the recoil. They are difficult to fully identify. They appear to be "L.K. B.E.C.". The L.K. is clear, the B somewhat clear, the E and C are difficult to confirm and may be an F and/or G.
