Background

This came from a fellow Carbine Club member that originally purchased it from a long time collector that has many high end Carbines, so I was told.

Quality Hardware obtained all of it's barrels from the government free-issue program. There is a "J" stamped on the top of the chamber just in front on the receiver. There are two "P" firing proofs, one about 2 inches infront of the gas port, the other about three inches infront on the handguard. No receiver digits on slide. Barrel has no import mark.

Hammer and hammer strut is in the white. No digits of receiver serial number on trigger housing.

Additional Information

The bolt, ejector, firing pin, front sight, trigger housing and sear are not the correct years as called for in Riesch's book, but the serial number sequences are close on most of the parts and the finishes and wear patterns match.
