Bavaria Forestry Police-N+O

Background

Letters N+O following Bavaria Forestry Police indicate the Bavaria Districts of Niederbayern (Lower Bavaria) + Oberpfalz. The police for these two districts were combined into one police force. The forest area in these districts borders Czechoslovakia, which is the reason the Forest Police were armed early after the end of WWII. The German side is known as the Bavarian Forest. The Czech side is known as the Bohemian Forest.

Barrel has both a P proof mark and the NPM specific punch mark on the barrel. Also has a small flaming bomb on the right side, just above the gas cylinder. Slide (6515) has different digits than receiver serial number. INTRAC import mark behind front sight on bottom of barrel.

Slingwell of stock has 4 digits different than receiver serial number. Handguard has no 4 digits. very faint ordnance wheel and boxed SG on the right side of the butt. No mag well or butt plate protrusion. Hand Guard: 2 rivet, marked with a cursive Pederson and a U.
