BackgroundPurchased this Standard Products from a gentleman in Texas November 2006. He'd had it in his safe for "a number of years", and had not fired it.
Barrel Group
Last 4 digits of receiver serial number on slide. Front sight appears to had the letter S on top and ground off. INTRAC import mark on bottom of barrel behind front sight.
Stock Group
Last 4 digits of receiver serial number in slingwell and inside handguard. Crossed cannons on R/H side of stock.
Receiver Group
Bavaria Foresty Police-U milled into top of receiver to the left of the bolt. Although the receiver is milled in English, the -U was added afterwards and stands for the Bavaria District of Unterfranken, meaning the Bavaria Forestry Police in Lower Franconia.
Bolt Group
Bolt is stamped on right hand lug 39S, or if inverted, S63. Blued bolt has last 4 digits of receiver serial number electro-penciled on top.
Trigger Group
Trigger guard has last 4 digits of serial number on rear "T", bottom of trigger housing forward of trigger guard is stamped LGKNÖ with 0663 underneath the letters. The 0663 is the inventory number assigned by the Austrians.
Additional InformationThis carbine came (as received by the seller) with an unmarked leather sling and unmarked, blued oiler. Sling well had been slightly routed out to accept the thickness of this sling. As usual, this one is in excellent shape, and has been well maintained.
