Although the receiver is stamped in English, the -U was added afterwards and stands for the Bavaria District of Unterfranken, meaning the Bavaria Forestry Police in Lower Franconia. Left side of receiver has Standard Products code 9H, consistent with the date on the barrel as the time period of manufacture.

Trigger guard has last 4 digits of serial number on rear "T", bottom of trigger housing forward of trigger guard is stamped LGKNÖ with 0943 underneath the letters. The 0943 is the inventory number assigned by the Austrians.

Additional Information

This carbine came (as received by the seller) with a leather sling and a blued oiler marked IS. Sling is stamped Stolla Wien on outside end. Cut into the outside of the sling is the name Kaltei'z.
