Advertised for sale on Euroarms Jan-Apr 2007, possibly earlier. Euroarms lists the allotment of carbines they received from Zoll of Austria as early as 2002. This one was listed as one of the few remaining. The Zoll marked M1 carbines are the first seen with post WWII arsenal rebuild marks on the stock. Unlike the carbines used by the Gendarmerie, there are no visible numbers from the receiver serial number marked on various parts.

Rebuild mark on left side of stock above handgrip area, marked AAU. Sling is standard issue Austrian for the M1 carbine, mfg by Stolla of Vienna.

Bottom of trigger housing forward of trigger guard is stamped ZW with 733 underneath the letters. The 733 is the inventory number assigned by the Austrians. Z for Zoll, W for Wache (Tariff Guard).
