Background Purchased 01/2007 from a private party in Kentucky. The trigger guard stamped LGKNÖ identifies this rifle as having been in the inventory of the Gendarmerie Rural Police, Lower Austria, Austria. There are no other markings on the rifle indicating it's an Austrian or Bavarian carbine. Barrel Group Barrel type 1 Underwood 11/43 Front Sight type 1 N with 6 on left side (Saginaw SG) Barrel Band/Swivel type 3 MMC/EMQ (Quality Hardware) Gas Piston Nut     Barrel Skirt     Slide type .U. (Underwood) Operating slide stop     Barrel has flaming bomb ordnance mark just below date of manufacture. Underside of barrel below manufacturer is stamped "INTRAC KNOX, TN". Slide has last 4 numbers of serial number stamped on the outer side of the rail. Stock Group Stock type 3 W (Winchester) Handguard type 2 IO (Inland) Buttplate     Left side sling well above manufacture mark and underside of handguard have last 4 digits of serial number. Receiver Group Receiver type 2 Standard Products Rear Sight type 3 IRCO 7160060 (International Register Co.)
