Dalkin & Company of Chicago for Quality Hardware) Barrel has P over Ordnance bomb on right side of receiver gas piston housing area. Last four digits of serial number on outside of slide arm. Bottom of handguard has the number 9748, which does not match the last four digits of the serial number. This indicates the stock was on this carbine when it was received by Bavaria from the U.S. Office of Military Government, and remained on the carbine when it was received by Austria when they purchased the carbine from Bavaria in 1956.
